At last, I have managed to take some proper photos (ok they were taken in the night, but still they are decent!) of my by hand london, elisalex dress. The first of the two summer elisalex I have made.
They were taken near the city train station, by an old train.
The lighting was not the best possible, but the details of the dress are visible.
I made this dress, back to June, for a wedding, but it was so comfy that I wear it in my everyday life.
The fabric is from a previous collection of Amy Butler.
Let's talk about the pattern now. The pattern is beautiful and really easy to make! I loved it! It came together really easy.
The only problem with this pattern was in the bodice of the dress: I cut my size, but it was tight. (I don't make muslins). The problem was fixed by letting out the bodice, using the seam allowance included in the pattern.
I really enjoyed making it and making it again and definately I will make a couple elisalex with sleeves for my winter wardrobe.
Did I mention that this dress has an amazing back? Beautiful and femine!
I think this is the best dress I have sewn this summer.
